Comincia l’avventura, che durerà due mesi, di Fabia Maramotti, la studentessa protagonista di “Coast to Coast for GRADE”. La ventenne reggiana percorrerà tutti gli Stati Uniti in bicicletta. Un viaggio con uno scopo benefico: Fabia raccoglierà donazioni online, che saranno totalmente devolute al Gruppo Amici dell’Ematologia per sostenere “IOxTE… moltiplica la ricerca!”, un progetto che finanzia esperienze scientifiche presso centri di ricerca di fama internazionale, in Italia e all’estero, per medici e ricercatori del reparto di Ematologia dell’Arcispedale Santa Maria Nuova – IRCCS. L’obiettivo è quello di accrescere l’eccellenza del nuovo Centro Oncoematologico reggiano, di recente inaugurazione, con importanti competenze e nuove risposte scientifiche. L’avventura con “Coast to Coast for GRADE” comincerà il 18 giugno a Seattle, nello stato di Washington, e si concluderà a Boston, in Massachusetts.
L’arrivo è previsto per il 20 agosto, dopo 64 giorni di viaggio e 13 Paesi americani toccati. 6.800 chilometri dall’Oceano Pacifico all’Atlantico, dalla Costa Ovest alla Costa Est: un’impresa davvero impegnativa, che Fabia affronterà giorno per giorno senza paura, con impegno e volontà. Il percorso sarà documentato con foto, video e messaggi, che verranno pubblicati online per tenere sempre aggiornati i sostenitori di GRADE e quelli che vorranno accompagnare Fabia nella sua esplorazione degli States. Il tutto per sostenere l’opera e la ricerca della Fondazione Reggiana.

For Fabia Maramotti, the student starring in “Coast to Coast for GRADE”, her two-month adventure is about to begin. The twenty years old girl from Reggio Emilia will travel by bicycle across the United States. A journey with a charitable purpose: Fabia will collect online donations that will be entirely devolved to the “Gruppo Amici dell’Ematologia” association supporting the project “IOxTE… moltiplica la ricerca!” (Me x You …multiply the research”. The funds raised will finance scientific activities at internationally renowned research centers, in Italy and abroad, for doctors and researchers at the Department of Hematology of the Arcispedale Santa Maria Nuova – IRCCS. The goal is to foster the excellence of the new Hematological Oncology Center in Reggio, only recently opened, with important skills and the latest scientific advances. The adventure of “Coast to Coast for GRADE” will begin June 18 in Seattle, Washington state, and will end in Boston, Massachusetts.
The arrival is scheduled for August 20, after 64 days of journey and through 13 American states. 6800 km from the Pacific Ocean to the Atlantic, from the West Coast to the East Coast: a really challenging enterprise, that Fabia will face day by day without fear, with commitment and will. The route will be documented with photos, videos and messages, which will be published online to keep up to date GRADE supporters and those who want to accompany Fabia in her exploration of the States.
